The dog on this bottle is so cute! Not gonna lie, it was the main reason why I picked this one up.

Light and fresh scents of summer fruits like apple and melon can be made when you crack the bottle open. There are also some very light buttery and citrusy scents that can be made as well. You can make out some slight spicy and peppery notees on those first few drops initially, but quickly simmers down to a light blend of sweeter flavours. Green apple, honeydew, cantaloupe, and watermelon seem to dominate the flavour palette here. There are also hints of some oaky notes like butter and vanilla, especially after the initial sweetness of those other flavours simmer. There’s also a light earthy freshness that can be felt on the tongue. Despite the range of flavours, the body to this wine is fairly light and not too sweet. The flavours are not that bold or distinct, and do not feel as heavy in the mouth. They feel a bit watered down you could say. However, the fairly lightness of this one makes it easy to pound back. There’s a silky smoothness and even freshness to this one that makes it enjoyable, especially on a hotter summer day. The finish is a bit on the dryer end compared to most other whites I’ve had, but I've had many other wines that are way dryer. However, there is still a nice floral finish at the end with some subtle hints of spices at the end. Your mouth can still feel the silkiness, butteriness, and sweetness well after you’ve well finished that last sip.

This one is fairly light and quite easy to consume. Its light on the taste buds and has a decently fresh feel from start to finish. My only gripe is that the flavours don't feel too distinct or bold. They can still be made and distinguished, but i selfishly kinda wish they were a bit more present. People who may want a sweeter wine may want to look somewhere else. However, I would definitely recommend this one if you just need a good wine with some decent notes while you are soaking up the sun while in your swimsuit/budgie smuggler/nude/whatever.

Pairings: Shellfish are the official food recommended pairing for this wine. I'm not classy enough to eat shellfish, so I decided to have this with brunch instead. You know what? It went down good!

Overall Rating: 3 Languedoc Crosses out of 5
